Did you shoot him in the head, or did you get him with already there?  :dunno:

Second the euro mount would be cool.

Long incredible story.....short version is good friend and I were trying to get back on a heard of elk we had put to bed and were climbing a hill which had a small bench halfway up. Once we reached the bench, friend gets my attention and nods his head in direction of where the bear was. We wait as the bear waddles down towards closing the gap to 17 yards. My buddy shoots first (ultimately found to be a great heart shot). The bear whirled and ran straight towards us stopping at ten yards and began to climb over a downed tree. With the bear looking right at me, and already at full draw, I let the arrow fly.....!

Did it drop in its tracks from the head shot?

Yes, dropped in his tracks and then, after a few seconds, got back up stumbled a few steps and collapsed for good!

Amazing to witness everything unfold.
