Early to mid-summer cam pics reveals five different forkies working this 10 acre woodlot - not one eyeguard in the bunch.  The only true three point from last year is noticeably absent.  The area in general has pretty good to very good genetics.  The great bucks don't hang out here apparently.

One of these is working towards a crab claw 3 point, and one has a sticker that might just end up being a dropper someday, though the fork on that side looks a bit goofy, so who knows how he might turn out in the future. 

The wide forked horned buck has some weird knurlings on his left side - hopefully we'll get to see them without velvet.  I have three years of pictures of this guy and he's not really changed a bit.  I saw him in the flesh about a month ago - he's a real fatty, somewhere around 200 lbs.  I sure hope he tastes good!

I would shoot that wide forky no problem ( he'd look good on my wall ) and he does look like a mature buck

I posted a picture of that guy last year in a thread about big two points, from mid-August, just after he'd rubbed off the velvet .  He was kind of spindly, not much mass without the velvet.  I never got another pic of him or any of his buddies after that last glimpse.  They all disappeared like ghosts, well before the season opener.

He's definitely a mature buck, and while he looks a bit bigger than last year, not remarkably so.  He's a big bodied brute - I think he's ready for BBQ.  Trouble is, that spot only hunts well with an easterly component to the wind, which isn't that frequent in the late fall.  The only buck I saw there in eight hunts was a small spike, quite possibly the spork pictured at the top. 

Edit:  Attaching pic from last year.  I was wrong.  He's definitely looking bigger.

He's definitely bigger! Maybe he's one of those big bucks that just stays a 2 point
Great width and I'm guessing he's going to have some more mass on the rack !

Thanks Jake.  I'm thinking you might have made a good call earlier..... Give him a couple more years.   We'll see how the season shakes out.

Follow up on the wide forkie:  I thought this guy got harvested two years ago.   Someone posted a success photo from the same neighborhood of a very similar buck, virtually identical, but with a tiny split on the tip of a tine. 

He was completely missing in action last year, seemingly confirming my belief that he was dead.  I pulled cams out of the woods yesterday - I'm pretty sure that this is that same buck.  Massive body, longer tines.   Love the width. 

What do you guys think?  Same buck??
