It's a cactus buck. We see them every year, some are nearly normal but never shed their velvet, some are flat out weird, like this guy. Bio told me the level of deformity depends on how low testosterone production is, which in turn depends on how much damage has been done to the buck's testicles. Most common cause of injured testicles is freezing during severe winters. Sounds a bit unpleasant, doesn't it?
