Much of the crab creek drainage SE of Vantage is Public, though haven't seen much for deer there, but they are there.  I'm not sure anymore about badger anymore, and I think much of the Quil or that side of the river is closed to hunting unless permit only.

beverly dunes/lake lenice/nunally/merry lakes area would probably hold a deer or 2...not so sure about elk. is it open for a late season? i don't know.
if you want to do the late archery thing, the swakane would be my first choice...but it is also a bunch of other people's first choices as well.

The canyons south of Rayal City and all the way to the columbia is a good place to kick around in the late archery deer. It is pretty tough hunting but you can get up high and glass buck and then spot and stalk. Lost of public land that border private crops.
