Ranges in Spokane
« on: June 01, 2018, 07:55:49 AM »
I’m contemplating a grad gift for my son in law.  He will be headed back to the spokane area after graduating the U of W with my daughter.  He is then headed into the Army Rangers this fall with his eyes set on special forces.
I was looking for any input on the gun ranges in Spokane area.  I was thinking about getting him a gift certificate for some range times, ammo and possibly rentals if he wants to shoot something other than his own AR.   I live out in the country so ranges are pretty foreign to me.

Sharp Shooting is the only range I know of that rents firearms in Spokane. It's pistol only (.22 rifle ok). For shooting long guns, Spokane Rifle Club has a nice range. The range at Mica is less expensive, but I've not been there so no 1st hand knowledge.

Your own guns and ammo and paper targets. Controlled with range master. Pistols or Rifles.
I was not able to shoot there last year do to back & shoulder injury . but plan on starting next week.

If I remember correctly Mica has the longest available range.  I think they have some steel at 900-100 yards?  I was only out there once and that was back when it was $5 to shoot.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.

The increase at mica to $10 was canceled so just $5 per day for non members.
They also have yearly memberships that are around $100 a year I think which gives access to the pistol range.

They have steel to 1000.

I’m not sure they are the longest anymore with rock lake rifle range opening. But that one is only open to members and guests I think.

:yeah: Sharp shooting doesn't allow shooting centerfire rifles. Handgun calibers only. Center Target sports will let you shoot 223 but nothing bigger. They told me no on a 300 BLK. Outdoor shooting is much better. Buy your son ammo and a discovery pass. There is plenty of state land around Spokane. It is much more fun that way anyhow. Just make sure he picks up his brass and cleans up after himself.
