Question. Raffle permits “ Eastside Elk”
« on: June 02, 2018, 08:38:59 PM »
Eastside Elk raffle.

Hunt area:

Except GMU 157 and those GMU’s closed to elk hunting or closed to branches antlered bull elk hunting. “

The way I read it. Is if a guy were to draw the “Eastern Elk” raffle permit. He wouldn’t be able to hunt branched antler bulls in the Colockum. The Colockum is closed to branched antler bull hunting with the acception of those being drawn for a “Bull” or “Quality Bull” permit. Or even the Mission unit for that matter.

Am I missing something?

If the clockum is open to permit holders for branch antler hunting that opens it for the raffle.

Yes, you are missing something. It allows you to hunt the units that have a branched tag hunt; General or special Permits included.

You could even make the case that a legal spike could be a branch antlered Bull thus opening other units as well... or so we’ve seen...  :puke: :peep:

I didn’t know if a raffle ticket was looked upon differently than a “Bull” or “Quality Bull” permit.

fire away. Rules are for the peasants and it has been shown there are massive loopholes in the system. If you see a bull you like, shoot it. (Kidding about killing whatever bull you want....unless you have lots of $$$$)

Pretty much every unit in eastern Washington is under the same closed to branch antlered bull elk hunting except for special permit restrictions until you get up into the northeast units.

It’s recently been hit pretty hard by one of the ballers. Better bring your wallet.

Created " reasonable doubt" and that's all. It takes in a lot of cases these days
