XDm 10mm
« on: December 24, 2018, 12:15:49 PM »
Being that it’s Christmas I need to get myself a present.... I have been dead set on retiring my g20 and switching to the g40 for my woods carry.

But now with the XDm with a 5.25” barrel available, I am really Considering this instead....I own an old XD 45 and love how it feels and shoots, and I have heard the XDm’s are even better.

The main reason for switching from a g20 to a g40 is I am hoping to finally lessen is not remove the FTF issues I have every once in awhile while shooting Underwood 220grn hardcast ammo (my field carry ammo). I have a replace recoil spring (22lb) but the fun still has an issue every once and awhile. So my question is has anyone bought the XDm 10mm or know someone with first hand experience shooting full house real ammo through these guns?

I know it’s early to get much feedback with how new these guns are, but if I can get any feedback that these guns are up for real ammo I think I am going to make the purchase....

Thanks for any feedback!

Thanks,
H&F

I have one. Pick one up you won’t regret it.
I have one of the first ones shipped out and runs great just like all my xdm guns.

Thanks Carpsniper, what ammo have you ran through it? Anything on the heavy end?

Thanks!

Nobody else has bought this pistol yet? I guess I need to be a guinea pig, or take the money I was going to spend and buy an AR...

Anybody have any thoughts?

Thanks!

You put a 22 lb spring in your G20 and you still have malfunctions with heavy loads?

I'm no expert, but with the 22 lb spring in my G20 it runs hot loads without fail.   Same for other guys I know.

I'm just wondering if your G20 has an issue?   Not trying to be a pain.
