I don't see the scallops by the box on your site - am I missing something?

Good catch.  It is kind of hidden - the site automatically kicks in the discount for the 5# box if you order at least 4 of the 1.25# bags.

What is the easiest way to knock the hulls off them.  Wife says that they are great but they are a challenge to get shucked. 😏

Either cook them through or do a quick 10 second dunk in boiling water if you are doing a recipe that doesn't call for cooked shrimp.  After you do a few hundred, you get the hang of it, hard to explain but probably easy to figure out.  For me, it's a two pull process, I grab the meaty end and pull half the shell off and then you pinch the tail and do some shrimp jitsu twist move to get the other half off.  Again, hard to explain in text but easier to show and practice.

Raw spot shrimp are a bit of a challenge and you end up with more than one poke in your hands.  It's doable, but I have found the quick dunk makes the process much easier and doesn't impact the end result.

What I do is use a pair of those cuticle scissors and just cut the shell right up the vein and then they just practically fall out. Just stick your thumb in there and evict em !!

So, are you afraid to stop in Auburn this year?
Were we really that scary the last couple stops?

We will be doing crab with our prime rib for Christmas......  even if i have to drive to Fife to pick it up.

Ya you did.

Gotta give credit where credit is due - @ctwiggs1 kept kicking my butt until I finally accepted this store as the way to go.  I'm glad it's working for everybody.

Thanks again for the support, I'll update the delivery dates as soon as I can!

You are terrifying, big guy.   :chuckle:

I haven't cast the delivery list in cement yet, we have room for some massaging.  Any interest in meeting up with us at the Mason Jar farm in Enumclaw?

Just flipping you a little grief.

I'm happy to make Fife or Enumclaw.

Just not Lake Stevens......   There's a dude up there that eats deer balls, which is scarier than anything in Auburn.

Don’t you dare come to Enumclaw and not let me put a face to a name Dan-o!  In all seriousness, I could always grab your order and bring it to my work in Auburn the following Monday if you want.

You ever pull off that nut job Devin??

Ridgeratt, get your wife one of these sheller/deveiners. They work great. I thought I was pretty good at shelling shrimp until a friend in Alaska, who is from Florida, went shrimping with me. When she found out I didn't have one, she bought me one and they really do help. Sometimes you don't know what you are missing until someone shows you.
