New location in GMU 117
«
on:
March 04, 2021, 12:54:46 PM »
We bought some property on the North edge of GMU 117 and have some images to show after a 6 week camera soak. As soon as the weather cooperates, the contractor will push a road into the property. In the mean time we're prepping things for turning it into our private hunting and trail riding (mule / horse) camp. All of these pics and videos are on the property.

I've been harassing my Dad to invest in a few acres near Colville because I hunt out there several times a year and take him with me when he's up to it. Not that either of us have money
Someday. Post up some progress pics as the property gets developed. I'm sure there are plenty here who would enjoy being part of the experience.

This new location of ours, near Colville, has a one-bar service with Verizon phones but zero ability to make a phone call or send a text. I recently installed a Weboost multi room cellular booster. Phone worked immediately and after a lot of tuning, I was able to get 4.2 Mbs internet with LTE. So,,, we bought some Cuddeback/link cameras to use for game cameras and security cameras. The 200 mile drive to the property will no longer be necessary to check cameras. Not to mention the new ability to call emergency services if needed!
Redneck cellular tower ^ using 20' spruce pole is working great. Would love to find a radio antenna for a reasonable price.

Yes, there is power on the property. Former owner was an electrical contractor and made sure it's ready to power a full residence and shop.

After 4 weeks, the next camera check rendered over 700 stills and and equal number of videos of mostly whitetail deer. No elk, cougar, or bobcat this time. But we did get one tom turkey strutting.
