GMU 454
« on: November 09, 2007, 01:25:25 AM »
Alright im not ready to give up on this year. I was trying to do some research with arial photos and such.....but im just gonna have to go out driving this week see if I can find a place to hunt in 454. I know there is firearm restrictions in some areas. Can anyone help me out a little on where I might be able to find some huntable land without these restrictions? I dont expect to get much of a response....but hey....why not try?

I'm looking at trying to find an area for the late bow hunt in 454 for elk.  I'm gonna go down to the DNR office in Enumclaw probably Tuesday and see if I can get ahold of some maps showing public land in 454.  I'll post more when I find out some info from them.  Palmer Coal owns a ton of property between Maple Valley and Enumclaw but they quit allowing public hunting on their property a year or so ago.  I was told by management that they only allow family of the company to hunt the property due to liability reasons.     :(
