Trapline Event

Starting Time: Noon December 10th, 2021 check in until
Check out time at Noon: December 13, 2021

Experienced trappers to teach the basic of finding and identifying furbearer sign, good trap placement and preparation is a real life setting.  Follow signs to a perpetual beaver stream nested in a draw between Lincoln creek and Independences creek valleys.  Private 96 acre property accessible with ATVs on a network of trails bordered by Port Blakely land all around for thousands of acres of hike-in access on logging roads.

Come early Friday and stay late to Sunday if you like.  Camp overnight on the trapline and see if you get a real catch in the morning.  Skinning and fleshing demos Sunday December 12th starting at daylight.  For those staying overnight to check traps in the morning “the best catch by popular vote receives a set of skinning knives.”

Coffee and cocoa served hot all day.  Burgers, hotdogs, soda and chips provided for lunch Saturday by WSTA.

Bucket Raffle of outdoor gear will be on site.  Ticket drawing will be at 4pm Saturday.  Cost is 75 cents each or $20.00 for wingspan tickets.   :yike:

Campfire potluck; bring what you have for social time and dinner after the days program for Saturday night.

WSTA Members $25.00 ~ Non-members $45.00 ~ 17 years of age and under Free

Camping Fee: No cost to pitch tent.  RVs is limited 5 spaces; "must be less than 25 feet long."  No hookup, $10.00 first come first served
