Interesting, I didn't think the grizzly bear recovery was a done deal, apparently it is though.

I don't think the grizzly bear issue is resolved, but this person would work on planning as that project moves forward for evaluation.   I think.

We already have a population of grizzlies in the NE part of the state, would be pretty likely that is what it is referring too.

Nothing to see here but protocol, as I believe 100% they already have their person for the position and know him/her well.

No mention of the sportsman, hiker, hunter, fisherman who will be most likely impacted by their great plans.....

There is at least one grizz up in the Buzzard Lake country, WDF$Wolves know about it as they were shown evidence by a rancher, but refuse to acknowledge. Just like they did with wolves before the first ones in "70" years were confirmed.

Not trying to derail this thread to wolves at all but they had already confirmed wolves in the 80's and 90's, so how did they come out with first wolf pack in 70 years.
Would WDFW&USFWS Failure to acknowledge that WA already has a grizz pop in order to release more bears be a conflict? Or?

Why would WDFW lie about the confirmed wolves in the 80' and 90's?

I wonder will WDFW come out with first grizz in WA in 70 years next?

Well this is a joke, they most certainly have their person picked already.  After reading the Required Qualifications and the Preferred Qualifications there isn't anyone qualified that isn't already in that field of work.

Would you take all of the the arrows from both sides for $122,000, $60,000 after taxes?  And be based in Olympia?  And have this commission for bosses?  Run

Most likely going to be someone already drawing a pension from the state, and it wont be interrupted by employment in this position.
