Archery Mudflow
« on: July 10, 2024, 10:28:51 PM »
I was lucky enough to draw the mudflow archery tag after almost 20 years of putting in! I am very excited and certainly looking for any help from previous hunters! Good lucky to everyone, hope everyone gets something tagged this season

About a two hour drive away, going to start hitting it up every other weekend starting this weekend. Thanks for the link.

No problem. Black river taxidermy (Joel) is a great resource for the Mudflow unit too. Feel free to PM for more info on the unit.

Did you buy the Weyco permit?    Changes what is open to you.

Elkay,
Give me a call man. I know that unit well and would be happy to share some info with ya. Don’t bother with the weyco permit if you don’t already have one. Especially for the archery the majority of the bulls are in state/public ground. Most of the weyco ground within the unit is off the hwy 504 side, but it’s not as active as the other side of the unit where I’ve always seen the biggest bulls. Have had the archery tag twice (pics) and it’s a good one if you’re willing to do some work. Congrats on the tag!

AWESOME hunt and congrats!

I helped a member here on his hunt year ago, what a blast, Bulls were vocal our year and made for lot of fun.  There are some nasty mudholes holes down bottom.  Make sure you are in shape and get ready for some fun as it can be steep!
