I joined/donated to the Sportsmen's Alliance after listening to the Vortex podcast episode. They seem like a well organized, valuable asset for sportsmen across the country.

it would be nice if they cleaned house on those anti's but ferguson is no better! i beleive it when i see it. i read all the reports from the sportsman alliance as i was a member. the problem is wdfw needs a good house cleaning starting with top and i dont see it happening its gotten worse look at the license increase there not even using the money for the wdfw. dont mind paying the increase just put the money back into fishing, hunting and wildlife in this state.

Been pretty quiet as far as the Commission goes.

I think that was Barbara Baker the Chair.
She announced after the meeting with Gov. that she was not running for chair again.

Good

But the foul four need to go.

No problem it’s a hard issue to keep track of. I only knew because I watched a video.
I heard they would elect new chair and vice chair in Bellingham in August.

Anderson is running for chair.
Linville and one of the foul four for vice chair.

Most Sportsmen and women are hoping for Anderson - Linville.

I hope Sportsman Alliance keeps the pressure on. Never forget Spring Bear. It should be brought up at every Commission meeting until they go back and re-instate it.

Can anyone clue me in on who and when they choose someone new to chair the Wildlife committee?

It’s my understanding the chairs are picked by the other commissioners. I don’t believe public input is a factor.
But I could be wrong.

The money is on Anderson as chair and Lehmkuhl as vice chair (0ne of foul four).

The best situation would be Anderson and Linville but who knows?

Hopefully Linville. She's been vice chair before. If it ends up being Anderson and Linville then we're in pretty good shape and is telling that the tide has changed in our favor a bit.

Linville called out the Commission after her first tour on several podcasts. She did not like the way decisions were being made by the foul four.

Anderson spoke up at his first meeting of second tour, saying the Commission needed to own its mistakes. Something the foul four didn’t like.

But the foul four are still there and voting. I expect the process to improve with new chair.
Not sure we can get better results though.

The sleepers are  Meyers and Parker , they seem to keep their heads down and just go with the bullies.

Linville made the comment she needed to figure out how to be team player with th foul four who left her out the first time around.

I hope she doesn’t. We don’t need team players ,we need commissioners that think for themselves and not worried on fitting in with rogue commissioners who do not follow the mission and the North American Model of wildlife management.

It’s sad, I know hunters who never seen a buck,or spike bull. That’s sad. We need better management all around.
