Mason County or Mason Unit?
I live in the area so may have some useful information after clarification.

It’s the only deer hunt I put my kids in for, they didn’t draw with 7 pts. Hopefully they can draw while they’re youths. It is a great hunt opportunity

Check in with Manke Timber, I've heard there are some big changes to their access this coming year. But a great tag to have and a killer time to be in the blacktail woods

Ok, I looked it up it's unit 633 the Mason Unit. I will have some good Intel for you if you want it. Fairly good sized unit and decent access for walk in or bicycle in.

Ya i am all ears, trying to make a special and fun hunt for my kid, i got lucky and drew a couple other tags this year so i am trying to do my leg work with this now.  i live about a hour away from the unit, willing to pull the boy out of school for a few days or week what ever.. lol.  But i am all ears for tips, i want to maybe camp for a few days give the boy a deer camp vibe.. ha.. Thanks a million in advance.. Corey

Ya keep me posted, i plan to do the same, i just want a fun hunt for the boys too.. I drew a dam moose tag and Montana deer so i am trying to best utilize my time which it will be limited for me, my brother will take my boy if i have to split for moose.  We will definitely be having Halloween up there on the hill or staying in Belfair.  Halloween is always the best time for peek rut for blacktail in my opinion.  We will be hunting hard the Nov 1st-7 at least, hopefully get a chance in that time frame, i think that will be the best time.
