Robodad kills a BIG SKUNK!!
« on: February 27, 2010, 07:27:49 AM »
I took Robodad and friends out for some Gator fishing yesterday. The day started off trying a couple spots with no bites. We just kept trying and searching for them. After the tide changes and started running in we found our spot. We were on our way to go try for springers when we figured we should try one last angel on a big hole. We set up and almost couldn't believe it. We couldn't bait the rods fast enough. We ended up with 3 dubles on during the day and several other almost. All the doubles were seconds away from triples. It was one of those crazy bite days. After the tide turned we set back up and continued to put the smack down on them.

Robodad tells me he has tried many times to catch his first keeper sturgeon but even going with all the big dogs didn't get it done. ;)
I think for the day we got 27 to the boat and Robodad and his 2 friends all had keepers!!! I think if we had another 1/2 hr of light I could have got mine but I didn't really care. We had an awesome day on the water and by noon we had no wind just a little rain now and then.

It was a good day of first. His friends got their first sturgeon then later they got their first keepers!! It was the first time I got into a bite like that in that hole and first time one of my other holes didn't put out with even 1 bite.

Pics of his friends with their first sturgeon.

I didn't get many pics because  I was so busy trying to get rods back in the water. At times we had 1 out of 4 rods in and that was with 2 of us trying to keep bait on them!!! I think Robodad and crew got some good pics so when he gets home he will post them up.
We even had to drop off the anchor and chase one fish. Turned out it was snagged in the side and was just a little to small to go in the box.

Robdad and crew I had so much fun getting you guys into those fish!! Thanks for the good time.

I'm really glad this is working out for everyone.  Looks like everyone has had a great time and its a win win for everyone involved.  If I was not dealing with a sick dog and lived at the wrong end of the North side I would love to go.  Keep at em and keep sharing the stories!
