youth hunt a success ( PICS ADDED)
« on: October 17, 2010, 07:14:07 AM »
As some of you know I invited a couple youth over to harvest does. The first hunter cole just got his first deer. A 3x3 mulie, not exactly a doe, but I couldn't tell him to let it walk. It was so cool to be there for his first deer, he has been hunting for 5 years and I can't think of a more deserving kid and dad. I will post pics when I get home and will update you throughout the week on the other hunters.

VERY cool! :) Always neat to help with a first animal!  :IBCOOL:
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

I love to see the kids involved... it brings back so many memories.  I can almost remember the anticipation and the first sights and smells of the hunt.  Well done!
Nothing witty here.... move along.

Bigpaw, I want to thank you again for allowing my son the opportunity to hunt in your youth hunt.  Even though he did not harvest an animal he had a fantastic time.  He loves describing the sights and sound of the deer coming in and then how shaky he got trying to make the shot.  He is defiantly hooked for life.

Thank you again, it was nice to meet you and your family.

This is more fun than when I was guiding elk hunters in Wyoming. I think these youth apreciate it more. Next year I'm going to make this bigger with more land and more young hunters.
