Back from the Columbia "Springers"
« on: April 19, 2008, 10:57:59 PM »
Well got back a bit ago.  Things started off not so good when the guide I had scheduled for Thursday couldn't run, boat or something, so we left Friday at 0300 and were on the water by 0600, eight hooks ups, released a couple Natives and went 3 for 3 on Hatchery Kings, oh I've been corrected numerous times there, "Springers".  One of the guys had to head so off my boat on Saturday, snowing, rain, hail, sun and wind, all in the five hours we hit it.  A couple bangs then we finally managed to hookup one into the net, 1 for 2, decided to head before the Spanish Armada attacked, boats everywhere and didn't see many other hook ups, except for a couple guide here and there.  Thought it was a pretty good trip and had some fun and meet a Strugeon "Extreme" guy and a Steelhead "Hero" that I'll be heading with soon to see thier secrets.....
