Bear hide in freezer?
« on: February 06, 2011, 11:29:29 PM »
How long will a bear hide last in the freezer if it is rolled up and in a garbage bag before it starts getting freezer burned?

It depends on if you have a Manual or Frost Free freezer.  It also depends on what parts of the hide is exposed.  i wouldn't leave it in longer than 2 years.

I just got done fleshing one that was in the freezer for probably 3 or 4 years and it was freezer burned pretty bad.
