Cool pic.  I wish I have good camera when I saw two Bats hanging on wall. I tried to get camera closer all sudden one another bat flew hit my head. Sound like pissed bat.  I almost got rabies yesterday.   

Never again.

I doubt that very much. Short lens, Maybe a Macro lens?  F-stop up and not using a flash, with focus right on the nostrils will blur the background just as it is. I'm bettin that Doug was closer than most of us would think about getting to that snake.
