Musket Caps in a Knight DISC Extreme with Western Kit
« on: July 26, 2011, 04:01:20 PM »
There has been some question as to whether you can cap the new Knight Western Kit with a Musket cap... short answer - yes!  But, it needs to be the right capper.  Most of the plastic type Musket cappers on the market will not work, they are to large to get into the opening of the hood of the bolt.

The Tedd Cash brass capper will work to install musket caps on the nipple post...

With a slight modification to the brass nose of the capper it will even be more convienient to use.

Here is a set of pictures showing the the process using my Knight DISC Extreme 52 cal elk gun.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
