The 24th is deer season, turkey season (in some units), cougar season (ml) and bear(rifle) season ongoing and grouse season.
If I am hunting grouse or turkey, should I a) carry a ml for cougar or b) carry a rifle for bear?
Hunting gmu 101.
Looks like it will be warm.
Also, what is the rule for hunting from a ground blind? Can I have shotgun, ml and rifle at my side?

I don't see why you couldn't have a shotgun, muzzleloader, and a rifle in your possession. There's no law against that as far as I know. The chance of seeing a cougar isn't good, so you might get by with just the rifle and the shotgun. But yes, it is stupid that it's muzzleloader only for cougar at that time.

Personally I say carry just the Muzzy. You can still kill a bear with a muzzy and if for some chance you see a cougar your going to kick yourself in the a$$ for not having a muzzy with you. Plus why would you want to pack all that extra weight with you anyways.

I see a cougar every few years. I am hunting alone, so I don't want to go to the bear condos, but if one happens by (Usually a cinnimon), I have all the equipment to process on the spot.
My preferrence lies with deer. Mule deer and whitetail. My hunting partner, now deceased, holds the record with a 8x9 whitetail. (My partner was tough. He had a bad heart and had to carry oxygen in a backpack. He would yell airborne, airborne when he got to camp).

Where about in 101 did your partner get that record buck? Over around Republic somewhere? I live in Kettle Falls and I deer hunt 101, but I do it with a bow. Late season in 101 is long and in prime rut time....so it's hard to pass up.
