Regarding the 2011 Hunt-WA Horn Competition. This is a friendly reminder to get your animal entered into the competition. We are looking to assemble pics of the better scoring animals and there are a bunch in this thread that fit the bill.

Let me know if you have any questions about making the entry post.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Thats pretty sweet with the velvet! I wonder does the velvet stay soft or does it dry out and get hard? looks really cool like that!

never seen a euro velvet done so thought i would try it.   i had to cut off the horns from the skull, boil the skull, I used "Antler in Velvet Tan"  from Knoblochs.  ordered two bottles online.  it has worked great.  i have had them done for almost 2 months now and they dont smell and arn't slipping.  then reattach the horns with screws and epoxy.
