I forgot ...
We are going to lose a few mods but going to gain more than we lose, a lot more is built into the new software. Currently I see the biggest stumbling block being the photo gallery, the current gallery is not supported with the new software so we have to find another option. Another concern, we'll lose Simple Portal, but a fork called EZ Portal works with 2.1, I'm just not sure yet if the "Recent Topics" block will look/work exactly the same. Another issue, our current theme (the colors and overall look of the forum) is not supported with the new software, but I'm going to have someone customize a theme for 2.1 to keep the general look of the forum the same.

Liroy also thinks ...

Well, I hope this is good news. I used to like posting pictures but quit most everything a few years ago when the whole photo gallery/media functionality went sideways. Haven't been able to manage my media files and only occasionally even able to see them. Only forum software I've been on that has so little to offer for photo use.
Seems odd that a commercial forum software provider would not offer this photo functionality as a core function. Hope this works out to our benefit.

PHOTO RESIZING ISSUE
In preparation for the upcoming software upgrade I asked our tech guy to fix the photo issue, he has mostly fixed the issues we've had with posting photos. In a test topic we have posted large file sized photos without issue, we believe anyone can now post photos from any device without needing to resize them!

IPhone Users
If you rotate your phone camera the wrong way to take landscape photos your photo will post upside down on the forum. There are two solutions:
1. Take another photo with your camera rotated the other way.
2. Edit the photo on your phone, rotate the photo, then it will post right side up.

Android Users
I don't know of this being a problem?

Awesome! Appreciate making that a priority. Once I figured out the nuance with max pixel size I've had no issues adjusting, but it'll be nice to not have to take those extra steps / post from mobile more efficiently.

Posting pictures should be way easier now.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

When a thread gets deleted the posts in that thread delete from the post count shown under your avatar when you post. If you go to your profile or anyone’s for that neater you can click on “show posts” and you will see all the posts there. You personally have two pages worth of posts but all but three of them were in classifieds that have been deleted. With three posts still active you should be able to see the classifieds now.

The minimum post count is new, it's to keep scammers from joining and reading the classifieds and trying to send messages to scam members.

We were offline a while today. Apparently Liroy was doing some maintenance work, I thought the forum server was down and ordered a reboot of the server, anyway it shut us down for a while, but all should be good now! Liroy fixed it!

Forum will be a little sluggish for a couple hours, the system is running a bunch of checks and backups.

At times today it’s been brutally slow. Working fine now.
