Sneaky kitty!

Ive put enough time in to at least think im in kitty country which in most cases I'm ususally wrong. A new set led me to think of only the best outcome of the next 45 minutes. Glancing in the direction of the most likely pursuit i started calling. In minutes I caught movement in the brush. Gray and white, get ready. I made the move and held the call, then gave a little more of the call. Here it is, dang turns out to be a half dozen nutcrackers blowing out of the brush flying toward me. Several more follow the first group and continue throughout the set. Low flyers, high flyers, in the tree, out of the tree, to the ground, back to the tree. You name it they did it. Quiet down I'm thinking, loud birds. Well needless to say i was entertained, maybe a little too much. They eventually worked furthur and furthur to my left, and stopped squaking about an hour later. These birds hated my call and they hated the pursuit in which was unfolding beneath them the hole time. I tallied another busted set in the books and perceeded to walk out my trail. 30 yards later in full view of my decoy and me, what do I see?
NO WAY!
I'll be honest this is not the first time i've beat the trail down for our furry little friends, at least he had the easy walk. Was a good show for him though, the only reason why he left was to go get some popcorn!

Congrats on calling one in. This has happened to me before also. Probably more than I know about. They are sneaky little *censored*s for sure.
Bobcat track in my boot print. Came in right behind me. I heard it but could not turn around and didnt know what it was until I got the courage to get up and leave.

I know how that is. A couple years ago my dad and I got taken by bobcat fever, calling and trying to walk them down. One day he walked one into a brush patch that stood in the wide open probably thirty yards wide, circled it and realized the cat was in there. He cirlced it again and the cat escaped while he was looking in. The next day, same spot, we called one in that walked into the open right when we went to pick up our decoy. No shots. Lesson learned: sit five minutes longer than you want to. Keep at it.

this has happened to me before a couple times but the one that really pi$$ed me off was when I was sitting about 25 yrds off an old grade looking into a huge field with about a foot of snow ... I called for about a half hour and nothen so I get up and walk directly behind me to the old grade and as I look down there was a huge bobby track and I could see where he just sat there lookin at me
it was a nice one too... I just wish I knew how long he was sitting there ....
