If I were to build a smokehouse, what wood would I need to buy?

I wanna build one out of toung and grove cedar. but have yet to start it  :bash:

Double J ,go to recipe section - there is very simple and cool smokehouse plans made out of ply .... also I saw some plans and videos on youtube .Guys like to use tongue and groove planks ---I would go with cedar myself
Everyone thinks that I'm freak ,I don't look different do I ?

I considered both pine and cedar when I built mine. Then I went to the lumber store and found out the pine was 1/3 the price. It's been working great!!!

I covered a metal box with Cedar fence board. It is cheap and looks good. I won't build an all wood one because my buddy did that and his almost burnt his cedar mill down...
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.
