Just wondering what you guys put down for attracting Blacktails to your trail-cam areas? Do you use products such as deer cocane or Kmere deer?

I have an apple and two plum trees in my backyard. Both make killer blacktail attractants. So do my wifes flowers :chuckle: Try to look for a ten pound sack of cheapo apples and put them around your camera. Smash a couple to get the scent stirring around. Apples are generally pretty cheap too.

Feed salt with trace minerals from the feed store or the Trophy rock from Sportsmans Warehouse is what I use and I get tons of Blacktials coming in.

Been hearing about a couple hogs running around a little area I know of. I'm gonna try to get my trailcam out this weekend and get some pics. I'm going to rake out some rock salt around the camera and toss out some apples. I have a problem always catching the back half of deer in my pictures :bash:

Deer cocaine only works for whitetail in my experience.  It doesn't seem to attract blacktail.

If you wanna attract hogs put out some sour mash/corn mash.  Sour oats work pretty good to.  Cost you bout $8 for 50lbs+.  Wild hogs will also clean up a gut pile in short order to.  Than again out here something else is probably gonna get that befor a hog.
