need wolf info for july in idaho
« on: May 28, 2012, 03:23:21 PM »
Im headed to southern Idaho in July.  I will be in a little town outside of twin falls, and looking to buy a wolf tag while Im down there. Any of you guys or gals do any wolf hunting down that way or know someone that has?  Thanks for any help in this :hello:

You're looking to hunt wolves in July?
Is it open season?

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I think the only areas open are the Lolo and Selway until June 30th  :dunno:

The panhandle of Idaho is the only area in Idaho which opens on July 1st. On private land only.  And I don't think you will have very good success around Twin Falls, one of the lowest wolf concentrations in the State Most of the Wolfs are in Northern, Central and Eastern Idaho.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!
