Speed loaders
« on: July 27, 2012, 05:42:36 PM »
I have been looking to buy a "speed loader".  Most of the speed loaders I see are made for pellets.  I am planning on using loose powder.  Can I use loose powder in these? What are some of your opinions? I have been looking at buying the RMC EC-View Magnum Speed Shells. Anyone use these? Thanks!

I use clear plastic tubing. Cap over one end and the bullet in the other holds the powder in place. When needed just pop the cap pour the powder and ram the bullet through the tube into the bore. Works awesome and is very quick.
Smoke em when ya see em!

I use the T/C speed loaders. Works great for loose or pellets. Cap stays on firmly and won't allow loose powder to leak out.

I use T/C speed loaders but I am constantly trying to find something better. The T/C speed loaders come open in my pocket from time to time and it is easy to spill some powder when you are pouring it into the barrel. They are better than anything else out there that I have found so far but I still think there is room for improvement.  :twocents:

I have always used Butler creek lightning loader. It has its own capping devise and holds two percussion caps per loader.

i bought a pack of traditions loaders.  can't say i'd recommend them.  they don't seem to have a long enough area to hold a saboted bullet so it tends to come apart, and too flimsy to start one in the barrel of my gun.

i'll have to give the TC loaders a try.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
