ok im torn im stationed in new york and come home in aug but only have time to hunt the oregon season.. ive narrowed it down to two units snake river or heppener... in heppener id get on a private lease and i need to decide by aug. 1st.. they have good elk and i can hunt deer on public land adjacent if i get lucky..
snake river is the kinda hunt i wanna do. (backpack) but really i cant scout snake river and have never been there so i could be getting in over my head i here its very nasty lol. but im not afraid.. but in all reality what would you guys do given the option of each and a meat packer is not out of the question by any means.
