Anyone crabbing today. I'm taking the weekend off. Looks like it may be a bit breezy in the Everett north end.

Just got back from dock crabbing again.  Got another 5 red rocks in a 3 hour soak.  Swam with the kids for most of the time and fished a bit to catch bait for tomorrow.  Figured my time is better spent doing this than bear hunting.  Higher success rate

Almost got my first dungie from the dock.  He came in at 5 3/4".  Biggest one from the dock yet.  Mostly just pull up about 6 in a pot that are clearly too small.

I'll be heading out to crab tomorrow morning, leaving from the Everett marina.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Nice....try the SE corner of hat....around 40 or 50 feet......being treating me very well. I'm picking the wife and kids up at airport soon. They have been gone 10 days...sleeping in and making big breakfast and hanging out.

8 and 7/8!

Picture? Don't think I've ever seen one that big.

I will have to get a pic the next weekend we are up at out place I left the shell on top of my wood pile to dry out so I can hang it up.  We have a neighbor who got one at a touch over 9" on the opener that one is nailed up to his garage wall.  Overall we have been getting a ton of females, but the males we are getting at 100-120 ft are absolutely huge.  I went to a canned cat food safeway brand in like a seafood medly recently when I forgot some of my fish leftovers.  That coupled with chicken has produced some really full pots, but like a said a ton of females this year maybe two to three males per pot.

Anyone going out this weekend?

Weather permitting I'll be out Sat afternoon/eveing with the wifey. Heading out of Everett and planning on sticking to my honey hole area. A little crabbing, run back in for a pint at Scuttlebutt, should be a good time. Either way if the weather turns to garbage we'll be making other plans.

Should be going off the dock again Saturday and Sunday.  I've figured out how to run a bouy setup off the dock but I need to get a bouy and some lead line before I can make this happen

Like I said....you ever make it my way you have an open invitation for a boat ride to soak some pots.

Working out the logistics but I might be able to get out to drop pots Friday, pick 'em up on Saturday.  Depends on the hunting buddy's wife signing the Kitchen Pass.

I'm not even married and I still get my plans jacked up by a wife!  :chuckle:

If you are out Saturday evening maybe consider running into the waterfront to hit the Scuttlebutt?
