trail camera trigger question

I have been thinking about setting up a trail camera or two on a few ponds to see if I can get some pictures of quackers and honkers. My biggest worry is that the movement/waves on the water would trigger it and I would get tons of blank pictures. Has anybody tried this or have experience with it?

never done it, but I have cams that are super sensitive and take pics of shadows in mid day as they move   but most of my cams are not sensitive enough to even take pics at 12 ft of rabbits and small game. the only cam I have that takes pics of small critters are my wildgame innovation cams
