^^ Very nice! Love the 2nd one. I was torn between this or the 300 2.8, but with the D3 High ISO capability, I knew I could get away with it.

The colors are so vivid.  Javman, do you enhance them with a program, or is that the way they come out?

Can't wait to see some pics elkman! If I owned it, I'd definitely get a 1.4x teleconverter for those times when you just can't get any closer. I've heard it doesn't degrade the quality much if any. Oh and the lens does a pretty good job with closeups too. Took some flower shots last weekend and was surprised at how close it focuses!

bone -- I figured a little sitka blacktail doesn't stand a chance against all those big muleys on a washington site ;) I might have one or two other shots for that thread though!

tlbradford -- That's pretty much how they come out. I might do a little bump in contrast, but nothing really to the colors!
