First pictures from the new property, pics added 7/22
« on: July 12, 2012, 12:25:01 AM »
A couple weeks ago I had the time finaly, to set up a game camera over a "Deer Cocaine" block place about 150 yards from my camp trailer and well head. Took a little while for the deer to find it, these are the first bucks I have got photos of but have seen much larger in person. I'll keep adding to this post as different bucks arrive. This is in Eastern WA, Badger Mt, unit 266. I drew a multi season permit this year for deer, if a large enough buck shows up, I'm going to have a go at him with my recurve.

Nice bucks for sure! I would be happy with all the above, especially with a recurve.

I had the well pump installed today, I ran down to town to get some electrical supplies and when I came back. This buck was standing right at the well head. Rather odd to see one at 3:00 in the afternoon out in the sun at almost 90 degrees.

I picked a galvanized short trough up today. I'll take it up to the well head in the morning. Saw 8 legal (3 point +) on the way down to get it.

Depending on where you are located on or around Badger...there are some true trophies up there.  I am a believer that the next state record will come somewhere out of the badger unit or surrounding units.  Feed and Water those deer and let the genetics do the rest.

I just walked down to the camera in the dark to change the batteries out on the game camera about a hour ago. Lit up two 24-26" bucks with the SureFire on the Sig Scorpion laying right at the camera. Changed the batteries out. Then stood in front of the camera until it took a pic of me with the flash. I then shined the light around and those two bucks were standing fifty yards or so down wind of me, looking my way without a care in the world.
