I don't recommend Bobs for Re-stringing your bow
« on: July 29, 2012, 06:02:47 PM »
After I got my bow restrung  in Chehalis, my husband thought he'd have his done, he shoots a Hoyt so had to go to Bobs ,
They really did a crappy job,  it is nosey, they didn't put the string leaches in, they put a D string when we asked them not to  we don't shoot with one,  they didnt do a serving where it hits the string

Just not happy, Dang it,

That's too bad.  I really like Bob's for outdoor gear.

I don't bow hunt (yet), but I always hear good things about XXX Archery in Rainier Oregon.  Too bad you didn't go there.........  :(
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

After dealing with multiple bow shops in an attempt to get a replacement part for my bow, only bobs offered to help.  The others shops advised me to call the manufacturer.  When I showed up they looked at the part I needed, pulled a new bow off the shelf, removed the part,  handed it to me and said have a nice day.  Amazing customer service.  I bet they bend over backwards to solve your issues.  I was going to have a new string placed after the season let us know how the fix went.   D

We just have never shot with D loops and now after 15 years are kinda use to how we are shooting. Nothing against them, just don't want to change a good thing :)  Like my dad says if it aint broke dont fix it .

Apparently you must not have realized the problem when you picked up the bow?  :dunno:

I agree with others who said you should ask them to fix the problem. The owner of the place may not even know the problem exists, I would call the owner and ask if they will fix the problem.  :twocents:

So my husband called Bobs, and explained the problems, We were told they made the strings, now they do not make the strings there. The man was not helpful, and I can tell you my husband is not a in your face type of guy. Very polite and talks never yells, So this may just said well maybe we can do something.  HUMM  He explained that he doesn't have 1/2 in to give on the D loop he tried it but his set point is all wrong. So I
think we will go to Lucky Shot Archery today and see what they can do.  Learned a lesson. Wish we had a bow press for the new bows but ours doesn't  work for these bows.
Just a bummer when you have a bow shooting great, quiet and works well and have it changed because a company doesn't want to listen or do good work.
thanks for all your imput.

Elk season can't come soon enough I am ready!!
