Solar Chargers
« on: July 30, 2012, 08:56:42 PM »
I posted this on another board before I found this one. Sorry for the repost.

I have been reading so many reviews on different solar chargers, my head hurts and I know less now then when I started,.

I am looking for a solar charger to charge my Garmin Rino while I am on an backcountry Elk trip for 10 days in Oregon. If anyone has one that they have had good luck with I would sure like  to know what is and would you reccomend i.

Thank you

Dont know how good they are but costco has Goal Zero's, Nomad?? I was looking at them last night, $50 or so, if I remember right. Comes wiith rechargeable battery pack for AA & AAA. Seemed light, I almost bought it but decided to read some reviews first. You would think it would just be easier to pack spare batteries, but a bunch of AA's weighs more then a guy would think when your counting oz's!!
