don't own one myself but my dad has 2 arctic cats that are awesome.  one is about 5 years old and one is brand new with no problems from either one.  can am comes the best set up of all of them but damn there expensive.  you could probably get a jeep for the same price as a sxs, thats why i run 4wheelers.

OMG that is funny! Thanks but I think I will let others play with the geo's :chuckle:

WHY?  :o  The ONLY reason i could think to go with a UTV is they offer them in Diesel so for a farmer you could run off road fuel in them. I really don't see the difference in gas Tracker or UTV. Is there something i'm missing? Or does it fall into the catagory of mopeds and fat chicks?

Check out http://www.dirttraxtv.com/ for reviews. Today they looked at the Can Am Commander XT,

lots of good info. Pros and Cons.

I know where I could get a 2011 800 for $11000. Owned by a retired State Patrolman. It's got like 800 miles on it and it's mellow yellow. His wife hates it.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I've got an arctic cat prowler 600 for a few years now. Not too much use but have had no issues with it.

We are currently having a debate about some kind of UTV for our archery club. I think a used Geo Tracker is the ticket. You can pick up a soft top for around a grand. Parts are VERY available and MUCH less than UTV parts. Plus you can take it to ANY Mech shop to have it worked on or serviced. 2 people are fine 4 would be difficult... Put a minispool in, some 30x950R15 mud tires and a trailer hitch and your good to go. The are so reasonable you could buy 2  for the price of a new UTV and have them built up.  :twocents:

That is exactly what I was thinking. I've been around a few of them and the utility ones aren't really much for utility. They can't haul anything because they are so small. I drove a Polaris that was the jacked up dune buggy style thing. Sure, it was fun but, 100% worthless for anything other than ripping around fast. Don't get me wrong, if you're into sand dunes and stuff- fun factor is high. At the company where I used to work we had John Deere Gators. Some were very old and very abused. Easy to work on and fix if needed but, they are really reliable.

I'd buy an old Jeep or bolt some seats in a Toyota pickup......Brat style...lol..

Trackers are light, about the same size and get great fuel economy. :dunno:
Or you could find a bratt like Happy said.

I have been pricing them out. They have some solid rebates going on right now. I hate to say it even though I hate Polaris right now :chuckle: I do like the rangers. I can get a 800 without power steering for like 10500 right now or 11500 with. Or a decked out fancy sob with clear coat and the bells and whistles for 12700.

I will have 2 clients most of the time when I am running around. I looked at the 500 since is is still injected. Just not enough room in it.

If'n you wanting to haul around a couple of big old boys plus yourself....I think you're pretty well limited on options.

You didn't mention where you'd be driving it, down narrow ATV trails?  If so then you'd run into restrictions on how wide you are.
Are you puttering around in cow poastures and don't care how wide it but you want it to be comfy so your clients aren't getting jostled around?

Might take a look at the poo's again

jeep or geo or anything on road is going to be a rough ride compaired to most UTV's - especially the poo's

I'm a rhino fan, and I'd encourage you to get that if you were only ever hauling around 1 dude.  But I think the polaris crew would be good for ya.

No atv trails or anything like that. I got better things to do then waste my time driving around burning gas :chuckle: Just all fields and canyons on my hunting grounds.

Just started looking and the jeep's. I am kinda dumb when it comes to jeeps don't know to much. Have read a few things and know a few of the common upgrades but that is about it.

I found this one on CL.

Just talked to the guy. Sounds like a great rig very open. He said the only thing is does right now is chirp a bit on turns because one of the lockers won't let go. He has a brand new one sitting there just has not got to it yet. He also has the 35 that he pulled out of it that goes with it. I am sure I could unload pretty easy on CL. So what are you thoughts on this one?

I think this would do, doesn't leave anymore track than a side-by-side does and its a whole lot cheaper
