Wrap and fletching color
« on: August 07, 2012, 10:49:26 PM »
Im deciding what color fletching and wrap to add on my Easton A/C/C's I have narrowed it down to either neon green or solid white. Anyone had experience with the colors and how they worked as far a visibility and blood?

I have neon red and neon yellow, I can see them pretty good and blood stands out good on the 2 yellows.

I would use solid white for the wraps.  This leaves a much larger area for blood to show up really well on.  Giving you a better chance to see what kind of hit you made which could mean the difference in whether you recover the animal properly.  As far as vane colors I think that a white cock vane and neon yellow hen vanes look pretty cool.  Plus all three show blood really well.

white wraps for sure, i usually use chartruse (sp?) or hunter orange vanes.  i feel that the neon color vanes stand out better when im looking for an arrow and the white wrap shows blood really well

my hunting buddy used white on white last season and lost just about every arrow he flung last year

White wraps (short version) and white cock vane with neon green hens.  I also use white or neon green nocks too.  Looks like a tracer going down range and shows blood well.

Same here.  My dad made fun of me until he saw how they glowed on a 3D target.  He now has 2 pink and 1 white fletch on his arrows.  For me it is all about being able to see the arrow bury into the big bulls side in the dark timber this fall!

Since some group of yahoos decided not to permit lighted nocks, I finally jumped on the bandwagon to wrap my arrows.  I went with neon yello wraps, 2 neon yellow quickspins with a white knock vane.  Here's the results:

Something with at least 50% white or neon yellow. I have orange and white tribal wraps made for me and have been very happy with them
