Crap. Is it going to cool down by Sept?
« on: August 12, 2012, 04:03:29 PM »
I have a nice wallow in SW Washington with a creek that runs through it with tracks all over.  Almost callid in a bull there 2 years ago.  I plan on going down there and sitting on that wallow all day.  Doesn't stop it from being crazy hot.  Man I hope it cools about 15-20 degrees by the first weekend in Sept.  Wishful thinking though, huh?

If it doesnt than it is going to be a maddening zoo once again. I looked foreward to this season so much and now its roasting hot again and the ten day forecast does not look good. Problem is it needs to rain by the last week of Aug or 1st day of Sept for the Timber Co's to re-open if there is a fire closure in the next two weeks.

It is not looking good at all  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

The weather forecast app on my kindle shows mid 70-mid 80's for the next 15 days for the west side.

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Unfortunately its not looking good J I may be elk hunting around the house if things continue like they are.  If it cools off I better start clearing some shooting lanes in the mess from last years storm just in case.

You're lucky.  I have to drive 90 miles to my spot

It's nice to be able to hunt around the house for a fall back, but it's so damn thick I have yet to have an ethical shot at eny of the elk I have seen.

That will work for me, as long as we get a little wet so we don't get locked out
