Just take it to any place that sells them. They will have to call wdfw and void the tag with them on the phone. Then you can buy the multi tag.

I tried to buy mine today online at the WDFW website.  It didn't give me the option to buy it so I went to Bi-Mart... same thing.  So the guy that was helping me out called the state and they said that since I bought my modern tag before I bought the multi-season I have to send in my modern tag to Olympia.  Does this sounds right or can I go to the local office here in Yakima to have them void it?  I'm a little nervous since Sept. 1st is right around the corner! Guess that's what I get for waiting till the last minute to buy it.

It is just like a tag exchange the dealer sends the tag back to Olympia with their "return documents"  and they issue a new multi-season tag. And the state takes all your money.  Minus the 50 cent dealer fee.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!

I have done mine the last 3 years in a row, the way I listed above. I buy a muzzle tag, then if I drew a multi. I took it in. They called it in write void on it. Then they clear the tag and I walk out with my multi tag.

I do not think you have to return. I have not had to the last 3 years including this years tag.

I know it has to go threw a dealer and you can't do it online.

I didn't exchange for a multi season tag, but I did exchange my archery tag for a modern tag this year, and it was just like carpsniper said. I went to the local license dealer and they got the WDFW in Olympia on the phone, got it exchanged in the system, then printed out my new modern tag, and I they kept the archery tag. I don't see why it would be any different for the multi season.

Just be sure you get to the store at least by 4:30. Otherwise when they call Olympia they might not get an answer. That happened the first time I stopped to exchange my tag, and it was only a few minutes before 5:00. Oh, and of course, you can't do it on Saturday or Sunday.

I swapped mine at Bimart last year. They just need to call and void your deer tag then they take it from you and your Multi season tag shows up in the system for purchase.

Can you return the tag? I don't want mine, I'm not gonna have the time utilize it this year?  And I get regular and late season deer already.

A little thread Jack here!

Can you hunt with archery equipment during the muzzle season with a multi-tag this year? (Deer)

Copied from the hunting pamplet, page 21, Muzzleloader Deer:

Hunting Method:
Muzzleloader tag holders can only
hunt during muzzleloader seasons
and must hunt with muzzleloader
or archery equipment. Hunting
equipment must meet regulations on
page 74-76.

Copied from the hunting pamplet, page 80, Multi-Season Permits:

If selected for a multi-season permit,
you may hunt in any open unit
during all general seasons starting
with archery and continuing on for
muzzleloader and modern firearm.
You must comply with all rules and
weapon restrictions.

So based on the info in the pamplet, I would say
