Well the elk are getting a little bit scared off being shot at .  There were about 45 down here about 5:40 this morning walking through the orchards .  Did see one spike in the group.

I've been waiting for them to go back into a piece of property I have permission to hunt but they haven't been back there since July.  With my torn acl/pcl it would have been nice to fill my master hunter tag on an easy cow this year.

I'll be over there this weekend for my first time hunting elk with my bow.  If you happen to have an in with that herd, tell them a real friendly Navy guy is coming and has a surprise for them!
