Inappropriate elk behavior
« on: August 29, 2012, 10:41:51 PM »
I've had my ground blind out for about 4 weeks now, and the elk have gone right thru it 3-4 times.    That must make it an OK spot......     8)

So, this time I went out to check the cam and the blind was dragged about 10 yards.  Interesting.

When I got home and checked the pics, I find:

PIC 1:  Elk approaching ground blind
PIC 2:  Elk knocking over ground blind
PIC 3:  Elk walking right over downed camera
pic 4:   Elk walking over downed camera (next day)

Nothing terribly inappropriate yet.....

But then things turn ugly:

PIC 1:  Elk mooning downed camera
PIC 2:  Is it just me or is the tail getting more rigid?
PIC 3:  Really?!?!?   Elk dumps on defenseless trail cam.

This slight will not go unavenged.

It is an awesome meadow.   The swales are just big enough to hide elk and make a guy think  there are none.

Not a shot I'd normally take, but for this cow I'll make an exception.

I've got to go wash my trail cam strap, now.
