Morning or Afternoon
« on: September 02, 2012, 10:48:16 AM »
Ok guys and gals. I have a question for you more experienced hunters. I was not able to get out this morning to hunt, so my question is if I should go out this afternoon or would I be better off going out tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I can't do both cause I get one turn then my wife gets to go.  :dunno:

I saw a nice forky this morning about 9.  Couldn't close the gap, I had my 2 year old with me.  Still got to about 90 yards before he busted.  I didn't see anything yesterday till about 7 in the evening.

We could say [Democrats] spend money like drunken Sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken Sailors. It would be unfair, because the Sailors are spending their own money.

You only have a very short time with this heat if you stick one.  I would pick morning so you have a chance of recovering fast enough to eat the beast.

If you're hunting whitetails over a food plot, I prefer evenings. I've killed 95% of my whities on the evening stand. Plus, if you stick one, you have all night to hang it and let it cool before taking it to a cooler in the morning.  :twocents: Good luck and go stick one!!

Not as easy as morning or afternoon.  I have killed animals all times of the day this time of year.  I perefer the afternoon over morning, but that is cause I hate sneaking into my blind in the dark.  If I blow the animals out of there in the morning it is useless.  In the afternoon I sneak in to my stand around 2 and sit till dark.  Very seldom do I blow the animals out at 2.
