Shoot through mesh for blinds
« on: September 02, 2012, 03:05:43 PM »
Im a little curious what some people have to say about shoot-through mesh for ground blinds. I spent some time a few weeks ago and built a small ground blind out of an old fir stump and it turned out decent but I have been trying to make it totally dark inside the blind but you can only darken it to a certain extent and its still too light on the inside to totally conceal myself. I remember seeing a show a while back where they used a type of mesh to close up the shooting slots in the blind and they would shoot through the mesh without harming accuracy and speed (supposedly). I was a little curious what issues people have had with them, if any, or what specific brand/type of mesh to use over another kind. Seems like you could probably just find some sort of see through mesh at Walmart or some fabric store to use but Im curious what to use considering this is my first venture into the blind/stand kind of hunting.

Most people seem to say they all work equally, just shoot straight through it. Any angle increases risk of deflected flight path.
