Is this bull big enough?
« on: September 08, 2012, 11:15:30 AM »
Here is a bull I tried killing yesterday.  Got within 20 yds of him 4 times but couldn't get the camera right or the brush was too thick.
That's alright because that means I still have a tag in my pocket.

He's a shooter for sure.  Hunting on the wetside has its own unique challenges, I had the same problem on opening day with a nice bull.  Went after him again this morning, and he hung up at 100yrs, or so I couldn't get him to do anything, but chuckle then he lost interest.

This bull has one of the biggest bodies I have ever seen.  :yike:  I have hunted around here for 15 years and in this general area there are VERY FEW bulls bigger.

Was it weird that when he was at 22 yds I was actually thinking how heavy the packs would be :dunno:

Yes, that is a bit odd. You should only think about that after you have a bull down. Especially when you're a young guy like yourself.   :chuckle:

Corey, Sweet Deal.  Can't wait to BS you and hear the story.  I have always said the 10th is when the rut seems to start full swing around here.

We found an even bigger bull tonight.  Time to put together a game plan to kill him.
