Carpsniperg2 Bobcat down! Crazy story!!!

Well let me tell you one thing. I never ever thought something this crazy would happen!!! I have been looking for a big tom with a winter coat to mount for a few years. Passed more then a few cats, when cat hunting. Just looking for the right cat!!!
Now I did not find that cat but I found another one.
I have been putting some long hrs in on my first few solid down days working on my new 4x4. Well one of my friends came over and we decided to go get lunch. As we are pulling out of my driveway. I see our pet cat who is a manx in a fit in the middle of the driveway. She is all arched up and in a panic/fight mode. I thought it was one of the skunks that was up here again. As I pulled up out exploded this bobcat from the tall grass on the side of my driveway. I was so in shock I just about had a heart attack. She was 1 minute from eatting my pet cat and she would have hung around until she killed all my cats. They love to eat house cats! Plus I am starting lambing in the next week. So as this bobcat takes off, I jump out and head at a 45 to cut the cat off. I get to the edge of the ditch on the field and no cat. I looked back into the field and saw the cat laying as flat as it could be. The cat was around the 30-35 yard mark. All I had was my carry gun. I am use to shooting it 0-10 yards. Not 30+ so I crack off 2 quick back to back shots. Both go maybe 2" over the cat. Adjust down and crack! Cat does a flip and starts running towards the grass. I take off down the ditch on a full run and get along side the cat running down the ditch. I take a shot at a full bore run and role the cat. I stop and the cat jumps up and jumps up to the top edge of a fence and starts crawinling up the fence. I put one more into it and it's a done deal. This cat took 3 180g bullets! I was shocked to say the least.
What a crazy deal! I am sure glad bobcat season opended and I was not 1 minute later! She is a pretty cat and has some nice color already. Now I have to decide if I want to mount her. She has 2 small holes and one bigger hole. One side looks nice and the other well 180g pdx are not made to leave small holes
She is no monster cat. She is on the larger side of the females I see around here. She did not have any food in her so she was hungery! Part of why she was trying to eat my cat in the heat of the day!
We all would have been crushed to have lost that cat and all of our house cats at that. Very lucky I went out when I did.
Just wanted to share this crazy story with all of you guys. Thought you would get a kick out of it.
Here are some pictures as well. Also a picture of my manx fighter that was defending her self and her kittens. GREAT CAT!

That is my attack cat! She was fighting for her life and her home and her kittens. The cat is going to get a steak next time we have some for dinner!!! I wish my friend would have turn on her phone and got it on video. It would have been epic!!!

I saw the title and when I opened the thread the first thing I see is your house cat.
I about fell out of my chair laughing thinking this was another one of
those
threads.
Good to see your pet is ok, and nice work on the bobby. Congrats.

That cats got some pretty color. Heck if you don't want to mount it you could always have a rug done!
It's cheaper too. lol

that's awesome, I would have it mounted personally. For me a mount is a honor to the animal, that kitty was a beast to take 3 180gr rounds..

I really thought about a rug, but the other side is not very nice! So it needs to have that side to a wall or something
It might get fixed up ok for a rug.
If it was not for my huge taxi bills already! I would have no thought about it at all and would just mount it. Not sure if I have a extra 500-900 to put into another mount!

My neise Thought my little black, and white cat was a bobcat, and then right after calling it a bobcat, she went up and pet her
Good thing it was my cat
It is cool that you got it with a handgun

And I wouldn't mount it, your cat probably doesn't want that thing around
