Todays outing
« on: August 22, 2008, 03:55:24 PM »
Went out bear hunting today with my dad, no bears, but we actually found an area we can go back to with some confidence knowing that there is at least one bear in the area-it had some decent bear sign around a small berry patch-they werent all ripe yet but there were enough to draw a bears attention, as the brush was trampled down around it fairly well, along with those piles full of seeds! we think we may have found a stump that had been torn up a little bit as well. And the pile of yote poo in the pic attatched has a small deers hoof in it! Ouch!!! is all i can say. we did make some stands calling in clear cuts with no luck, but my dad aka eagle eyes spotted two deer about 500 yrds out just inside the timber. I think our fawn in distress caught there curiousity. despite no bears, i had a great time hunting with my dad.
