« on: September 09, 2012, 10:35:14 PM »
put the stalk on a couple big mule deer does today n got busted once while i was drawing back n once before i knew i was there.the wind was a great help today,n i really learned the benis.of using it to my advantage.well after getting wore out chasing those suckers around all afternoon n headin back to the truck i saw 2 small fellas comin up the trail towards us so i hunkered down n drew my bow n waited till they got about 8 yards n put a shuttle t through one.it ran like hell but lost its juice about 70 yards later.got id say about 30 to 40 lbs of meat de boned.i kinda wish i would have waited n came back for one of those big does but the family needed the meat n mother nature delivered so im happy.couldnt get a pic n the dark with my phone.thanks guys for all the helpful advice n such.now its time to start beatin the bush for a monster elk n bear.

Congratulations on the deer. Can't argue with meat on the table.

Congrats on your first bow kill. Sounds like a great hunt with a fantastic shot at the end. That's the way freezers get filled
