Is any of 454 on the eastside of highway 18 and south of I-90 ? I used to haul export dirt into that area and guys would see elk, bear and deer in there.

Yes, its all 454. Not sure how long ago you hauled but now you see mainly democrats, hippies, and hikers to the west of Hwy 18.  I only know of 1 small pocket of elk S of 90 and West of 18 in the 454 and they run on all private land around Cedar Grove.

Tiger Mountain does not hold many, if any elk. You're better off trying to find some private land in the Issaquah-Hobart valley with elk. They are there; I've seen them.

Deer - that's another question. There are plenty of them on Tiger but they're typical blacktails: spooky and cautious. You need to get away from the trails and roads to find them.

That is incorrect.  GMU 454 encompasses areas east of Highway 18.

well, id NOT like to be the one to argue that with WDFW, they are going to take their map over anyone elses. here is their map. 18 is right on the border in blue, but no part of 454 actually crosses the blue border.

  your right BOB i see what you mean, sorry i assumed we were only talking about the part of GM<U454 that was TM state forest land, so i dunno about that area if its huntable or not  sorry man!

Absolutely.  Don't go into the watershed, however (it borders 454).  Also, there may be some private land. Generally speaking it's legal to hunt on private land, but not trespass.

The north side of Taylor Mountain is mostly public and huntable.
