Hi everyone, I got drawn for a second deer tag on private land in Methow Valley this year. I'm looking around to gain access to private property in the valley. Does anyone hear have any good leads or own any property where I may be allowed to shoot a doe?

After some good old fashioned door knocking I was able to secure some access on one of the alfalfa fields outside of town. I was a little nervous shooting with my bow with 4 cars watching from the road but I made a perfect 34 yard shot and the doe died less than 20 yards from where I hit her.
It was a bit amusing to hear the kids from the back seat of the Subaru yell: "OOOOHH the poor deer!!!" as the Subaru sped away. Seriously, if you don't want to see a deer die, why would you sit and watch a bow hunter stalk up on one in a field? I'll never understand some people.
